In this region there is a craft of making paper cutouts, which is a true living art. The most characteristic cutout is from the Rawa and Opoczno region, which has motifs of tree, roosters and figures of people. The regions of Częstochowa were famous for paintings, mainly on canvas, paper and most often having religious themes. The most outstanding artistic phenomenon of this region is sculpture. Apart from the traditional figures of saints, the subjects of the sculptures were also domestic appliances like backs of benches, stools, dish cupboards, etc.
